School Closing Monday, November 4, 2019
Posted on 10/30/2019

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The Village of Fort Ann has scheduled maintenance on the village water main on Monday, November 4, 2019. Due to the fact that the repairs will leave the District without water, school will be closed for students on Monday, November 4, 2019.

On the three days following the repairs (November 5, 6, and 7), the Village of Fort Ann will issue a Boil Water Advisory. This means that although we will have running water, our drinking fountains will be closed. We will provide bottled water for all students and staff upon request, however, we strongly encourage all students to bring a water bottle to school as well, if possible.

During these three days, we would like to remind all students, staff, and visitors to be mindful when washing their hands. We suggest that handwashing be a two-step process –  handwashing with soap/water should be followed by hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer will be provided in all classrooms.

Our cafeteria will remain open during the Boil Water Notice, however, the lunch menus have been adjusted to reflect cooking safety requirements. Breakfast menus and all other items for purchase will remain the same. The lunch menus will be as follows:

  • Tuesday, November 5, 2019 – Dress your own beef burgers, crinkle-cut french fries, fresh fruit and veggie bar.
  • Wednesday, November 6, 2019 – Grilled cheese sandwiches, creamy tomato soup, roasted broccoli, fresh fruit and veggie bar.
  • Thursday, November 7, 2019 – Oven-baked BBQ chicken, garlic breadsticks, fresh fruit and veggie bar.

For updates, please visit our district website homepage: For more information and FAQs on Boil Water Notices please see the attached document: Boil Water Notice FAQ

Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding during this time – if you have any questions, please contact the district office.
