Our Washington County, NY Public Health Department is proud to continue our community vaccination events in partnership with our community school partners and EMS Vaccination Team (led by the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad, Inc and other county EMS agencies) to provide increased community access to the COVID-19 vaccine closer to home! Our hosts for the month of November will be the Salem Central SchoolGranville CSD and Argyle Central School Districts! All events are within the currently approved guidelines for vaccination (by age and eligibility), should vaccination be expanded, we will update our event eligibility as needed.

VACCINATION CLINICS EXPANDED FOR ALL THREE BOOSTERS
Our Washington County, NY Public Health Department team announces the expansion of our scheduled COVID-19 Community Vaccination Clinics for November to include those eligible for the Pfizer, Moderna and J&J booster doses! We will continue to offer both registration and walk-in opportunities for our 1st Dose Pfizer & Single Dose J&J vaccination efforts as we continue to #vaccinatewashingtoncounty, however REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for all eligible booster dose recipients, walk-ins will not be permitted for booster doses. Registration for the booster dose portions of our clinics are limited based on a set capacity for each event and will increase with future events, the registration links for booster dose clinics will be released on our website at the beginning of each week. For more information, including registration links, visit our website at washingtoncountyny.gov/coronavirus
AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A BOOSTER DOSE YET?
The NYSDOH - New York State Health Department has updated their "Booster Doses" site in accordance with the changes recently announced by the federal government. There are now booster recommendations for all three COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States. The CDC and New York State Department of Health recommend that certain individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least six months after their initial series get their “booster dose.” These individuals include those who are 65 years and older and individuals who are 18 and older who live in long-term care settings, have underlying medical conditions, or who work or live in high-risk settings. Additionally, booster doses are recommended for all individuals 18 and older who received the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago. For more info about Booster shots and to find out if you're eligible, check the state's site here: ny.gov/boosters
Those who wish to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at one of our clinics should:
- Bring Identification
- Wear a short sleeve shirt
- Plan to stay for at least 15 minutes following vaccination for monitoring
IF one of our events does not fit in your schedule, be sure to check with your local pharmacy or healthcare provider too! Vaccines (including booster doses) are available in many different locations! THANK YOU for helping us to #vaccinatewashingtoncounty !
Regards,
Tim
