Two seats on the Fort Ann School District Board of Education will be up for election during the annual school budget vote and school board election on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Each seat is for a three-year term that will run from July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2029.


The Board of Education of the Fort Ann Central School District is made up of seven members who are elected by qualified voters of the district. They serve without pay for three-year terms. The Board of Education serves as the district's trustee, responsible for setting the policies that guide the Superintendent in leading the educational program, students, and staff.


Petitions nominating candidates for the Fort Ann Board of Education are available to qualified district residents and may be picked up at the District Office located at 1 Catherine Street, Fort Ann, NY 12827, weekdays between 9 am and 3 pm. Please call the District Clerk at (518) 639-5594 ext. 52049 with any questions.


Candidates must collect at least 25 signatures, and petitions must be returned by 5 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2026.
