On Friday, we will be hosting a sectional soccer game for our Boys Varsity Soccer Team! While we are excited to have the opportunity to host this game, the timing presents some logistical and safety concerns.
With our normal dismissal time of 2:35 PM, we would have a significant number of vehicles entering the parking lot for the game at the same time parents, buses, and students are leaving school. We also have a considerable number of students who walk home, and their safety is an important part of this decision.
To allow for a smooth, orderly dismissal while keeping our students, staff, and visitors safe, Fort Ann Central School District will be dismissing students early at 2:00 PM this Friday, October 23, 2026.
A few important details regarding Friday's dismissal:
All K–12 Students: Dismissal will begin at 2:00 PM.
PM BOCES Students: Students attending PM BOCES will be dismissed from SAEC at 1:30 PM to ensure they return to Fort Ann in time for dismissal.
PM Pre-K Students: We ask that parents pick up their children at 1:40 PM, slightly earlier than usual.
School Buses: Buses will begin entering our parking lot at approximately 1:45 PM.
We know that changes to the school schedule can create inconveniences for families, and we appreciate your flexibility and cooperation. Thank you for your understanding, and best of luck to our Boys Varsity Soccer Team as they compete in sectionals!
