We had a “heart-y” ❤️ good time on Valentines Day!

There's no better way to say "Happy Valentine's Day" in Fort Ann’s Living Environment class than with a heart dissection.

There is a new way to sign-up for sports! Student athletes will need to create an account at https://www.aktivate.com/ . Then all the forms you need are listed there. ⚾️🥎

Mrs. Irish’s class had a mystery reader, Mr. Jenkins - and Finn! We loved listening to them read us a story! 📚

Todd Barrett, Natural Gas Mechanic with National Grid, and Michael Campbell, Patrol Officer with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, visited with our fourth graders for our fifth career exploration day!
Mr. Barrett showed the students the equipment he uses to repair and install natural gas lines. He also brought a scratch and sniff card so the students could experience what a gas leak would smell like (hint - stinky). Patrol Officer Campbell talked about daily life as a police officer and let students check out some of his gear. Thank you to Ms. LaVine and Mr. Woodell-Freire for organizing this event! 😄

📖 We are pleased to be supporting Project: Cameron’s Story, an organization that provides books for parents with babies in the NICU. Order books here https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/13Y2EVNBQ6M9G - don't forget to add that you are donating as part of Fort Ann Schools! Order deadline is February 16, 2024. 📚📚

Our seventh graders participated in the annual “mock” Ceremony of Twelve celebration in English class to coincide with reading “The Giver” by Lois Lowry. 📖 Each student also had to write a speech stating whether they accepted or appealed Mrs. Prevost’s decision - this year’s group did an outstanding job!! 👏

It’s National School Counseling Week! Thank you to our counselors Ms. Casey, Ms. LaVine, Mrs. Spooner, and Mr. Woodell-Freire for all you do to help our students succeed! 🤩

Come out and support the Class of 2024 with some healthy competition! Contact Marissa Passino for more information, mpassino@fortannschool.org.

Get excited, Fort Ann! Brains and Brawn is coming soon!

Our fourth and fifth graders had a great time at the first Lego club meeting of the year! The challenge of the day was to build their favorite food!

What a turnout! Family Bingo Night at the Fort Ann Firehouse was a HUGE success! The class of 2024 and their advisor, Mrs. Passino, would like to thank the Fort Ann senior class families, the Fort Ann community, the Fort Ann Volunteer Fire Department , and all the local businesses who donated to this event! Thank you so much for your support and a super fun evening! With all the community support, the Class of 2024 raised over $2,000!

Mrs. Gadway’s fifth graders had the best time playing in the snow! ❄️ They built a fort with five tunnels, a slide, and three snowmen! ⛄️⛄️⛄️ It turned an ordinary day into a great winter adventure!

Calling all sweethearts! Get ready to put on your dancing shoes! ❤️💕💜
