Fourth graders had a visit from Mindy Wilson, HR Director for SUNY Adirondack, and Paige Gazetos, Fort Ann Speech Therapist, during our second career day. Mrs. Wilson explained what Human Resources is and talked about resumes and business cards. The students even got some SUNY ADK swag! Mrs. Gazetos talked about what a speech therapist does and that helping students is the most rewarding part of her job. Thank you to Ms. LaVine for organizing this event! 🤩
Students have some choices to make when planning coursework for junior and senior year. Another option, in addition to participation in Career & Technical Education at BOCES or the Early College Career Academy at SUNY Adirondack, is the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Queensbury. This program is a two-year rigorous education program that gives students an edge when it comes to succeeding in college.
There will be a Family Information Night for ninth and tenth grade students on December 10th at 7 PM, as well as on-site visits for interested tenth graders on January 9th and January 10th. RSVP below!
