Congratulations to all of our 6-12 Cardinals of the Month for January! January's character trait was PATIENCE!

Fifth graders tried to recreate Incan suspension bridges with string and popsicle sticks!

It’s "game day" in Living Environment! Students created “Body System” board games! Each game must include a "jump" to another group's body system game.

REMINDER—There will be no school on Wednesday, January 29, in observance of the Asian Lunar New Year.

📖 Award-winning author/illustrator Anthony Richichi visited our fifth graders to read his book “Colorwold,” a story of a little boy named Henry who discovers a magical treasure of art supplies that brings his drawings to life. Students also completed an art activity based on it.
They then attended "Colorworld LIVE," the stage adaptation of the book at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls, where their artwork was on display! 🤩

Chef Matthew Young, CTE Culinary Arts Teacher at WSWHE BOCES, and Raymond Perras, owner of Ray’s Property Maintenance, visited with our fourth graders for our third career exploration day! Chef Young spoke to our students about how to become chefs. He also brought chocolate chip cookies to teach some culinary terms—and, of course, to eat! 🍪 Mr. Perras shared his love of growing plants and flowers and being outdoors.🌸 He gave each student seeds and a pot so they could grow their own pansies! Thank you to Ms. LaVine for organizing this event! 🤩

Congratulations to our December Cardinals of the Month. This month we recognize those students who demonstrate the character trait of generosity. We are very proud of you all!

For the first hand sewing project in Home and Careers, students made a 3-dimensional holiday ornament. They had to trace a pattern, cut two pieces of fabric, and sew around the edge of the fabric. Then, they turned their project right side out, stuffed it and completed sewing it together. Some students made more than one ornament to take home for their families or came up with different designs. All agreed that this was fun….but also challenging.

Picture retakes are tomorrow!

There will be no late bus transportation today, Monday December 9th. Clubs have been cancelled for the day. Sports will continue as scheduled. Thank you.
